2008 HARVARDWOOD SCREENPLAY COMPETITION

Started in 2006, the Harvardwood Screenplay Competition (HSC) takes place every spring and is sponsored by top management and production company Circle of Confusion. The purpose of the contest is to give emerging Harvard writers the opportunity to share their material with industry professionals.

2008 HARVARDWOOD SCREENPLAY COMPETITION

Submission Guidelines
PROCESS:
We will be accepting script submissions via email and post from March 1 - March 31, 2008. Circle of Confusion and the Harvardwood board will evaluate all scripts entered to determine the winner and runners up. The winner and runners up will be announced no later than June 1, 2008.
The winning script and runners up will then be read by various industry professionals, and the author(s) will be considered for representation by Circle of Confusion. The first place winner will also receive a free year of Full Membership to Harvardwood and a cash prize of an amount to be determined.

Our 2008 elections for Harvardwood's Board of Directors are coming up soon (Feb. 13), and we are seeking dedicated volunteers who are interested in helping to steer the future of the organization. We are also seeking individuals who are not interested in serving on the Board but would like to volunteer for one of the committees (more info at the end).
REQUIREMENTS:
In addition to quarterly meetings in Los Angeles (call-in available for remote board members), board members are asked to dedicate several hours per week to Harvardwood activities. All board members are required to serve on at least one of the following committees (each of which will designate a Director from within):

We are pleased to announce the second annual Harvardwood Screenplay Competition, sponsored by top management and production company Circle of Confusion, LLC. The purpose of the contest is to give emerging writers the opportunity to share their material with industry professionals and utilize the Harvardwood network to further their writing careers. The winning script will be read by producers, managers, and agents, and the author(s) will also be considered for representation by Circle of Confusion. In addition, there will be a cash prize and one free year of Paid Membership to Harvardwood for the winner(s). The submission deadline is March 30, 2007, and the winner(s) will be announced by June 1, 2007.
