Harvardwood Europe invites all Harvardwood members who will be going to the Cannes Film Festival and Market this year to get in touch! We will be organizing a pre-dinner aperitif for Harvardwood members and their colleagues to meet each other on Saturday, May 20th, from 6:00-8:30pm. This will take right in the heart of town, off the Croisette.

Harvardwood, DC invites you to perform this summer as part of an all-alumni concert at Twins Jazz, one of the hottest venues for live music in Washington, DC!

We will be doing back-to-back evening performances on: Friday and Saturday, July 7 and 8th.

We are pleased to announce that we will host our first ever Harvardwood NYC MINI Film Fest.

The goal of this event is to give our community an opportunity to exhibit their work before an audience of their peers.

We will only exhibit 1 hour of filmed material during this event. An award and cash prize (TBA) will be presented at the event. The deadline for submissions is April 12th, 2006. Requirements for submission are below:

With the launch of the new website, Harvardwood is launching a new initiative called "Harvardwood Heads To..." in order to support member events in local areas. We are pleased to announce the first-ever Harvardwood Screenplay Competition, sponsored by top management and production company Circle of Confusion, LLC. The purpose of the contest is to give emerging writers the opportunity to share their material with industry professionals and utilize the Harvardwood network to further their writing careers. The winning script will be read by producers, managers, and agents, and the author(s) will also be considered for representation by Circle of Confusion. In addition, there will be a cash prize and one free year of Paid Membership to Harvardwood for the winner(s). The submission deadline was March 30, 2006, and the winner(s) will be announced by June 1, 2006.
