ASHLEY/AMBER is a short film about an antiwar activist who becomes internet famous after being outed as the one-time star of a porn video. The film premiered at the Berlin Film Festival in 2011 and is now available online under a CC-BY-NC license.
Shot in 16mm and manually cut on an eight-plate Steenbeck, the film is the undergraduate VES thesis of Rebecca Rojer ('09-10), a recent Harvard graduate. The film won "Best Student Film" at the NJ Int'l Film Festival and an Audience Choice Award at the Williamsburg Int'l Film Festival, and is featured on the German DVD compilation "Back to Politics."
