In celebration of Women's History Month, join Sibel Ergener Galindez (class of '89), Community Liaison at the new Zeiders American Dream Theater in Virginia Beach, VA for a discussion centered on analyzing the depiction of the female figure in pop culture through a 21st Century Lens. Listen to Sibel's podcast HERE and come ready to share your #ItHappenedOneNight moment. You will know what that is once you listen! This will be an interactive event. There is a question at the end of the podcast as well, and Sibel will have some prompts for us to find our own answer to that question.

Sibel Ergener Galindez lived and worked in Los Angeles as a professional actress & singer for 10 years, sharing the stage & screen with the likes of Doris Roberts, Mark Ruffalo, and Tony Shaloub, and developing her own cabaret. Her most notable role, Skates, a recurring character on the CBS TV drama JAG, led her to meet & marry a real life Navy JAG, who through his naval career brought her to Virginia Beach where she happily found The Z, her new creative home. Her work as an artist goes hand-in-hand with her work as community liaison, one informing the other, as she creates a bridge between The Z and the community through various programs to include: Creative Office Hours, The Word, Master Classes, and Community Events like #VBStrong and Race Let's Talk About It- through song in partnership with WHRO. She graduated cum laude from Harvard with a degree in English & American Literature.
