Welcome Al Jean AB '81, David Silverman AB '83, Jim Dauterive AB '79, Rich Appel AB '85, JD '88, and Steve Callaghan at SXSW: Family Values Viewed Through Primetime Animation.

From sxsw.com:

Looking at the current crop of popular animated shows on network television, you will see a common theme: family. Legendary shows like the Simpsons and Family Guy, along with the (relatively) new Bob's Burgers all center on working class families. This anchor is in sharp contrast to much of the live episodic content out there, which drifts more towards affluent families or friend groups. Come join the creators and creatives behind the Simpsons, Family Guy and Bob's Burgers as they look at the idea of family in their shows, and how this motif has led them to connect with audiences across the country and create shows with incredible longevity.
