Profile:
ANSLEY RUBINSTEIN has been a dancer and actress since the age of six, spending her childhood years shuffling from the dance studio to the academic classroom and back. For high school, she attended Deerfield Academy, where she graduated Cum laude and earned the Harvard Book Award as well as distinctions for her accomplishments in dance and theatre. After a summer working in Amman, Jordan, and another summer traveling in Egypt, Ansley majored in Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations at Harvard, focusing on Arabic language and modern Arabic literature. During her time at Harvard, Ansley performed in dance and theatre productions at the ART, New College Theatre, Agassiz, Dance Center, and beyond. She was also Captain of the Harvard Crimson Dance Team, choreographing numerous original works and leading her team to the National Dance Alliance competition in Florida. Outside the performing arts realm, Ansley also wrote for the travel guide Let's Go, and her three years worth of research-writing and blogging in Australia, Greece, Austria, and Germany has been published and distributed internationally. When she is not still traveling to some remote corner of the world, Ansley works as an actor, dancer, and freelance writer in Los Angeles, where she has appeared in independent films, shorts, and webseries.
