ROCIO is the true story of an undocumented Harvard student who self deported himself and his dying Mom to seek alternative treatment in her native Mexico. The story received national attention because he was not allowed to return to the United States, even with his DACA status. He filmed their experience and eventually returned to Harvard where he started the film as his thesis, which received top honorsThe documentary is a story of the American dream and the pursuit of putting everything on the line for the love of family.

Thanks to your support we have made it to our first film festival! The San Diego Latino Film Festival is one of the longest-running Latino film festivals in America and is hosted at the AMC Fashion Valley 18. It's one and a half weeks of amazing panels, dances, banquets, and not to mention great films.
We'd be lying if we said this wasn't the setting we always imagined for ROCIO.
