Job Description: Assist with crucial research for a feature-length documentary film about the death penalty and Intellectual Disabilities that is being produced and written by Radcliffe/Harvard '69 graduate Paula J. Caplan, whose previous documentaries have won numerous awards. Paula is currently an Associate in the Du Bois Institute, Hutchins Center for African and African American Research at Harvard. If you can help -- for whatever amount of time you can give to this -- you will be listed in the credits as a Production Assistant or Research Assistant or something like that, and you will be assisting on a major project aimed at increasing social justice.

Please help us finish "Isaac Pope: The Spirit of an American Century." It's about a 99-year-old, African-American, unsung hero of World War II's Battle of the Bulge and the civil rights and labor movements, as well as a community organizer and homespun philosopher whose life story is also the story of the past 100 years of U.S. history. Isaac Pope is the grandson of slaves and son of sharecroppers, and except for the War, he has always lived in the Deep South and thus during Jim Crow, but his life both during the War and very recently, in different ways, provides models for interracial interactions that are cause for hope. Job Description: VIDCAPT is the nonprofit producer, and I am the direct producer and playwright. This is a dual award winning play with a great director and cast and will run Nov. 9 - Dec. 17 in the Studio at Cherry Lane Theatre. Your job would be to use social media (we have created a new Facebook page for the production and just begin to add content) to get the word out about the play.
