Harvardwood is pleased to announce the 2014 Harvardwood Summer Internship Program (HSIP), and is now seeking internship opportunities worldwide! HSIP provides a list of internship opportunities in the arts, media and entertainment to Harvard undergraduates and also coordinates career-related events over the summer for program participants in LA, NYC and other cities.

If your company is interested in listing an internship via HSIP, please fill out our brief participant form. While your company can list your internship at any time, we recommend submitting by March 14th in order to be included in the first round of HSIP offerings and reach the largest number of potential candidates.

The Harvardwood Board of Directors (BOD) is coming up on elections for its next term, and we are looking for some energetic individuals to fill a few great Associate Director positions! The Harvardwood BOD is the managing body that oversees the volunteer efforts of Harvardwood members worldwide and has worked to create an impressive array of events, programs, and online resources over the past decade. As a member of this dynamic team, you will play a large role in determining the priorities and setting the course for the entire organization.

To be considered, please submit your resume and a brief statement of qualification in the body of your email (1 to 2 paragraphs) with the subject line "BOD APPLICATION" to [email protected] by February 22nd.

This is a final reminder that applications to the Spring 2014 TV Writing Modules are due by 11:59pm on Monday, February 10th!

The modules will use peer review, guest speakers and workshops to foster a motivating and supportive environment for each participant’s writing. There is a high expectation of preparation and writing done outside of the meetings (approx. 15-20 hours per week). Each module will have approximately eight participants, and will meet for approximately eleven sessions over a fourteen-week period beginning tentatively the week of February 24, 2014. The program has a strict attendance policy, so please make sure that you can fully commit before applying.

This year, THREE Oscar-nominated feature documentaries were made by Harvard alums: Jehane Noujaim (THE SQUARE), Joshua Oppenheimer (THE ACT OF KILLING), and Richard Rowley (DIRTY WARS)!

After working through almost 100 scripts and 3 rounds of judging, the RESULTS of the 2014 Harvardwood Screenwriting Competition are finally in!

First, a big congratulations to all FINALISTS – choosing between the best scripts was difficult in every category. Once again, the quality of your writing speaks for itself.

Also, a huge thank-you to everybody who helped out as JUDGES in this competition. You’ll remain anonymous as promised, but we’re grateful that you lent us your time and expertise.

We're looking for a photographer (amateur or professional) to volunteer as the official paparazzi for our Holiday Gala next Tuesday, Dec. 10th.

We'd like the photographer to arrive by 7:45pm at the latest and be on hand to photograph our guests, the venue, the silent auction items, etc. for the duration of the event. Once the photos are up, you'll be credited wherever they're posted online, so this is a nice way to get some promotional buzz!

Harvardwood is currently looking for an undergraduate student who is eligible for the Federal Work Study Program to assist with weekly administrative duties and other projects as needed. All work can be done online, and the hours (6-10 per week) are very flexible.

This is a great way to learn more about Harvardwood, the programming we offer across our nationwide chapters, and other opportunities that undergraduates and alumni can enjoy. It's a particularly great position for someone interested in exploring the arts, media, and entertainment after graduation!
