Common Ground is the story of a recently returned army veteran, who, seeking solitude, goes to work at a remote farm in Northern California, where he finds himself entangled with the lives of multiple individuals and clashing with his employer’s daughter, a bold and idealistic college student. Described as “timely and timeless,” with echoes of Steinbeck, the script’s themes touch upon topical issues—in particular the concerns of farmers, farm-to-table restaurants supporting local agriculture, and the challenges of homecoming for military veterans and their families.
