Join the Freedom Fundraiser in our first Alumni show. The Freedom Fundraiser is a new organization that was started in May 2020 that exists to fundraise for Black-led organizations involved in the Black Lives Matter movement. The Freedom Fundraiser Collective distributes 100% of its donations to these underfunded organizations and collects none of the proceeds from our shows, which are free to attend.
The Harvard Alumni Freedom Fundraiser aims to create community among Harvard alumni during a time when community is desperately needed. We aim to give alumni a chance to speak up on things that are important to them. We are more than our institution, and intend to mobilize the strength of the alumni community to engender real change. Proceeds will go to the Black Trans Advocacy Coalition’s COVID-19 Community Response Fund, National Black Justice Coalition, Equal Justice Initiative, and Dream Defenders.

Cornel West A.B. 1973: Cornel West is a prominent and provocative democratic intellectual. He has written 20 books and has edited 13. He is best known for his classics Race Matters and Democracy Matters, and his memoir, Brother West: Living and Loving Out Loud. He appears frequently on the Bill Maher Show, CNN, C-Span, and on Tavis Smiley’s PBS TV Show.
Doll Avant A.B. 1999: Featured by ForbesWomen and The New York Times, Doll Avant is an award-winning tech entrepreneur and TEDx speaker. Doll is the Founder & CEO of Aquagenuity ("Where Water Meets Ingenuity"), which has been recognized by Forbes, Google, Singularity University @ NASA Research Park, Coca-Cola, and WIRED Magazine as the first in the world to use big data, blockchain, and artificial intelligence to help consumers, corporations and smart cities answer the question: “What’s In Your Water?” in real-time, in order to predict and prevent water-related public health crises.
Amanda Gorman A.B. 2020: Called "the next great figure of poetry in the U.S." In 2017 she made history by becoming the first ever Youth Poet Laureate of the United States of America. In this role she has spoken at the Library of Congress, the United Nations x Mashable Social Good Summit, WE Day, and venues across the country.
