Our culture loves to focus on the glamorous stars of ballet, but the heart of any great ballet company is its corps, and the members of the corps of companies like American Ballet Theatre and New York City Ballet are some of the most brilliantly gifted dancers on the planet.
In this intimate Harvardwood event, four of these extraordinary artists--Lydia Wellington (above) and Harrison Coll of NYCB, and Skylar Brandt and Sean Stewart (side) of ABT--will talk about life in the studio and onstage, from the sweaty nitty-gritty of daily class, rehearsal, and performance, to the transcendent experiences dance uniquely offers. The distinguished choreographer Christopher Caines '85/86 will interview the dancers.
Special thanks to Seyfarth Shaw LLP, and to Andy Goodwin and the Plymouth Hill Foundation.
