Artist Janai-Ami's oil painting,  "Gone,  Amber Waves (To the Gates of Iniquity)" appears at Gallery 825 in Los Angeles from July 9, 2022 through August 4.  The painting is the artist's opening salvo on the topic of Global Famine. This artist apparently knows how to land a punch and does so here incisively! In this painting as in many of her works, she aims to record a little piece of history.  And as with so much of her commentary, symbols and hints abound as to what she is trying to say. You just have to know where to look.
