Domestic violence happens to people from all walks of life. It wears you down and scares you into staying. But you can get free.....even if it takes a lifetime (like it did with me).....you can be free. It's not easy, but if I can do it..............I will tell you that the peace I have in my life now is the greatest gift I could have given myself.

My youngest child, Carmelo Cacciatore, Jr. , died in a car accident in 2008.  He was 20 years old and the youngest of my four children.  Since the accident, it has been impossible for me to carry all these experiences inside of me.
