Nancy Cotton is Senior Vice President, Creative Affairs, at Fox 21 Television Studios, where she develops and produces television series including the acclaimed FX drama The Americans, starring Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys; two new FX comedy series, The Comedians, starring Billy Crystal and Josh Gad; and Sex Drugs and Rock and Roll, created by and starring Denis Leary; as well as the upcoming USA drama QUEEN OF THE SOUTH, starring Alice Braga, scheduled for early 2016.

Nancy oversaw the Emmy nominated series, The Killing, starring Mireille Enos and Joel Kinnaman, whose four seasons are now available on Netflix.  She also oversaw four seasons of Saving Grace (TNT), starring Oscarwinner Holly Hunter, and The Riches (FX), starring Eddie Izzard and Minnie Driver.

Prior to FTVS, Cotton was head of television for Mel Gibson’s Icon Productions.  While there, she executive-produced three network series:  Kevin Hill (UPN), starring Taye Diggs; Clubhouse (CBS) starring Dean Cain, Mare Winningham and Christopher Lloyd; and Complete Savages (ABC), created by Mike and Julie Thacker Scully, senior writers from The Simpsons. She also executive-produced the critically acclaimed 10-part documentary series, Carrier (PBS) which followed naval air craft carrier USS Nimitz on its six month tour to the Persian Gulf.

Cotton was Vice President of Programming for Mandalay Television, where she produced the WB series, Young Americans, starring Kate Bosworth and Ian Sommerholder, and worked on the original ABC series Cupid, starring Jeremy Piven and created by Rob Thomas (Veronica Mars.)   Before Mandalay, she was Director, Drama Series at ABC, where she oversaw many series including David Kelley’s award-winning The Practice

Cotton began her television career as an assistant in the television literary department at the William Morris Agency.  Her first job, however, was waiting tables and singing show tunes at The Hollywood Savoy, a restaurant in Paris.  She graduated from Harvard University with a degree in Art History. 

Cotton serves currently on the boards of the I Have A Dream Foundation, Los Angeles and the Los Angeles Alliance for a New Economy (LAANE). She lives in Los Angeles with her husband, an attorney, and has two teen-aged sons.
