Great LA River Clean Up / La Gran Limpieza is back! The largest urban River cleanup in America starts April 2018. For 29 years, FoLAR and our fellow Angelenos have cleaned the Los Angeles River and protected our oceans from trash and refuse. Last year, we mobilized 10,000 volunteers to remove 100 tons of trash. Help us make 2018 even bigger!
Join the movement this Earth Month as we come together to restore habitat, protect nature, and build community through the power of collective action.
Located along the breathtaking Elysian Valley bike path, the Frog Spot is Friends of the Los Angeles River’s summer gateway to the L.A. River. The Frog Spot serves as a community gathering space, launch pad for River tours and trips, and an exciting performance venue.

Driving: Exit the 5 Freeway at Stadium Way / Riverside Dr Go north east on Riverside Dr Turn right onto Newell St, and continue to Newell St/ Blake Ave. Find Street parking and then follow CleanUp signs to the Frog Spot. You can enter off the bike path or through the alley on Blake Ave.
Parking: Since it is located directly off the Elysian Valley Bike Path there is no onsite parking or parking lot at the Frog Spot.
In order to be good neighbors to the surrounding residential community, we urge everyone who attends to park outside the residential part of Frogtown on Riverside Drive.
Please Park on Riverside Drive near Newel St. It’s about a 7 minute walk down Newell to the end of the street and turn right (south) onto the LA River Bike Path and walk until you reach the Frog Spot on the right.
