Are you planning to embark on a new business venture? Do you have an idea for a really great name for a product or service? Join CLA and attorney Jesse Saivar for a discussion of the essential legal and business concerns that creative artists need to consider when establishing and protecting their brands. This workshop will provide an overview of trademarks--what they are, what they mean, and ways they can help you create a strong brand identity. The program will include an introduction to trademark selection and registration, including practical tips for filing a trademark application; an overview of the spectrum of distinctiveness; and a discussion of methods to enforce trademark rights.
