Termonde on the Seine

Max R. Scharf original paintings and limited edition prints are in private and corporate collections in fifteen countries and in the USA. In 2008 one of his paintings was acquired by the Saint Louis University Museum of Art for its permanent collection.
 
Scharf paints in the Impressionist, Expressionist and Abstract styles. To view over 150 original paintings please visit www.maxrscharf.com . In addition to painting Max creates digital images and enhanced photography.
 
Born in 1933 Max resides in St. Louis, Mo with his wife, Esther.
 
The painting posted here, "Termonde on the Seine", was created from a photograph that Scharf took while cruising down the Seine in northern France. He was on his way to visit Caude Monet's home in Giverny, France. Max has created over 25 original paintings of Monet's gardens & pond over the years from his trips to Giverny.
