2014 HARVARDWOOD ANNUAL APPEAL
Donate today to support our programs in 2015

As 2014 comes to a close, we’re thrilled to share with you some of Harvardwood’s successes this year, and we're asking for your support of next year’s programs.

We thank you for your ongoing volunteer efforts, the support of your dues, as well as the many other ways you enhance the Harvardwood community. We remain committed to keeping dues affordable, so that the opportunities created by Harvardwood are accessible to everyone.

Harvardwood nurtures students and alums as they start or advance their careers in the arts. According to the stats cited in this year’s “2014 Hollywood Diversity Report” by UCLA’s Bunche Center, our programs are dramatically more diverse in terms of race and gender than the current entertainment landscape. Your support will enable us to sustain our programs and services for new, thoughtful and diverse voices in the arts.

Thus, we ask that you make a tax-deductible donation to Harvardwood this holiday season. Your donation will help us expand our events and program offerings worldwide and ensure the longevity of Harvardwood and its resources. We’re very proud to report that 100% of our Board also donates to Harvardwood financially, in addition to dedicating their time and effort to our nonprofit as program directors.

Take a look at the following key achievements of the Harvardwood community in 2014:

A record number of undergrads attended our Harvardwood 101 two-week J-termships at major studios, agencies, and management companies.
$2,000 in community service grants will be given to members as part of our Harvardwood Heroes program.
New voices from the Harvardwood Writers’ Program have been staffed on GOTHAM, THE FLASH, RICK & MORTY, HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER, and more. Additionally, we had two sales to Universal and ABC.
Up-and-coming actors in the Harvardwood Talent Group booked over a dozen roles, including guest stars on HOT IN CLEVELAND, THE ODD COUPLE, IT'S ALWAYS SUNNY IN PHILADELPHIA, CASTLE, CSI: NY, and SILICON VALLEY.
Exciting events in the Harvardwood Seminar Series, including discussions with David Alpert, Executive Producer of THE WALKING DEAD; Jessica Gelman, of The New England Patriots / Kraft Sports Entertainment; and HBS Professor Henry McGee, Former President of HBO Home Entertainment.
And we’ve supported our fine arts community with jazz and classical concerts, exclusive talks with new authors, and New York theater events.

We're very excited about Harvardwood's progress thus far, but to ensure the growth of Harvardwood's programs in 2015 and beyond, we need your support today. Whatever amount you can give will help maintain our fantastic programs and services for new voices in the arts. As always, we are committed to maintaining our existing programs, as well as building toward our mission of utilizing the arts, entertainment, and media as powerful forces for positive social change.

All donations are tax-deductible, as allowed by our 501(c)(3) status. Harvardwood donors will receive special recognition on our website, as well as recognition at selected events and programs throughout the year. They will also receive invitations to exclusive VIP Harvardwood events.
