As 2013 comes to a close in a flurry of holiday activity, Harvardwood is looking ahead and seeking your support for next year's programs. We truly appreciate the many volunteer hours, hard work, and past contributions given by the members of our robust community. Thanks to you all, Harvardwood has continued to grow and flourish.

This year, we launched Harvardwood Heroes, a program that offers grants of $500 to members doing work at the intersection of the arts and community service. Huge successes have emerged from the Harvardwood Writers Program; we currently have five staffed writers and two who have sold series that are going to air. Our other programs continue to break new ground as well. The Harvardwood Talent Group has seen actors book roles on such shows as SAM & CAT (Nickelodeon), THE MINDY PROJECT (Fox), and the film HER, directed by Spike Jonze. Through recent Harvardwood Salon Series events, our members had the opportunity to attend discussions with Charles Hirshhorn, President of AEG/AXS TV, and Eddie Dalva, EVP at Viacom Media Networks. And we recently broadened our international reach via our co-sponsorship of the inaugural Beijing International Screenwriting Competition. Harvardwood 101 and the Summer Internship Program have expanded to include additional partner companies, as we continue to bring current undergraduates to LA to learn about opportunities in entertainment.

To ensure the growth of Harvardwood's programs in 2014 and beyond, we need your support today. Whatever amount you can give will help maintain our fantastic programs and services for new voices in the arts. As always, we are committed to maintaining our existing programs, as well as building toward our mission of utilizing the arts, entertainment, and media as powerful forces for positive social change -- but we simply cannot do this on dues payments alone. It is only through your support that we can sustain, improve, and expand Harvardwood's presence and programming.

We remain committed to keeping dues affordable, so that the opportunities created by Harvardwood are accessible to everyone.
