Announcing the 2010 Harvardwood Writers' Competition

In 2006, the Harvardwood Screenplay Competition (HSC) was created to give emerging Harvard writers the opportunity to gain industry exposure and to recognize superior work. This year the contest will be co-sponsored by Kaplan/Perron Entertainment.

We are excited to expand the contest to include three categories –

1) Feature screenplays (90-120 pp., all genres)
2) Television pilots (30-min and 60-min, all genres)
3) One-act plays (40-min maximum, no minimum)

The deadline for submissions will be July 30 and there will be a $15 submission fee. Winners will be announced on September 1. Each will receive a small cash award, free admission to the writers’ program, and informational meetings at Kaplan/Perrone, plus an unnamed leading Hollywood agency.

More details (including official entry forms, etc.) will be forthcoming in the next few weeks. In the meantime, mark the above dates on your calendars and get to work! Any questions may be directed to Lane Shadgett at [email protected].
